2021 Rainstorm Pinot Noir Rosé

A Rose of Pinot Noir. A beautiful expression from one of the top Pinot Noir regions worldwide. Rose pink with aromas of strawberry, rose petals and pomegranate. It is completely dry with refreshing acidity.

Planted in 1992, the Rainstorm Estate Vineyard and Winery are located in the heart of the Valley, the newly recognized and often breezy, Van Duzer Corridor AVA. Committed to crafting award-winning Pinots at the site for more than two decades.

SOIL

Mostly volcanic origin with some alluvial deposits.

PRODUCTION TECHNIQUE

With its cool, mild climate, the Willamette Valley of northern Oregon produces Pinot Noir with a fruity, elegant style and complex yet subtle flavors. Most of the grapes are whole-cluster pressed for this Rose providing acidity and elegance. The remainder come from the saignee Pinot Noir tank providing additional fruit and some structure. The wine is fermented at cool temperatures and aged on fine lees before blending and bottling.
