We love Riesling! We’re actually a little obsessed – but can you blame us? What other varietal can take on such a myriad of expressions – from bone dry with floral aromatics to dessert sweet with spicy aromas, this is a grape that knows how to keep things interesting. In fact, Riesling might be the most diverse of the noble white grapes.
Exploring Riesling’s various expressions is our passion. Above all, we believe its versatility is what makes it such an extraordinary food companion. Each one of our Classics finds the perfect balance to deliver the ultimate Riesling experience.
A varietal that can purely express its terroir. Its home in Washington’s Columbia Valley provides the ideal soils and climate for growing world-class Riesling. All native yeasts to best present the natural character of the vineyards. We use no pesticides and every element within our sustainably farmed vineyard is native to the vineyard. Centrally located winery reduces freight demands, optimizes efficient use of electricity and water, and lightweight glass significantly reduces our carbon footprint.
You might feel drawn to one style versus the other but each one has truly different applications and we invite you to stay open-minded. The Dry Riesling will be more appropriate as an aperitif, or with foods such as cold cuts, white meat, pork, sushi, or fish. Riesling "J" will be glorious with wildly flavorful food such as Chinese or Mexican. Sweet Riesling is stunning with spicy food such as Thai or Caribbean. Finally, the dessert styles are great on their own, with light desserts (fruit salad and/or tarts) or with blue cheeses. Not that those are hard rules - they are just classic pairings for classic Rieslings and you can invent your own rules.
